Puzzle Pieces

Puzzles. Thinking this morning about teenagers and adults. If only we would look at life through a long view instead of in the moment. Just thinking of how difficult it would be to work a 1000 piece puzzle without any idea of the final picture… I mean it’s difficult enough to get it put together. Lots of effort and concentration on even the smallest details. So much time is spent studying the final picture and looking for pieces that have the color or detail needed to create the puzzle. What would happen if we looked at life like a puzzle? What kind of “life picture” do you want to have in the end? What steps would you take in your life to make that happen? And what’s more, what choices would you make daily if you thought about what would please God in everything you do- every choice you make? We make wrong choices, we choose the wrong pieces but God restores those things we do that are wrong. When we can’t see the big picture, when we can’t see Him or what He wants- He is even there in those moments. Because HE cares about even the smallest details of our life! How would your choices change? What kind of puzzle are you putting together? It’s never too late, friends!

  • Proverbs 3:5 (MSG)Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to GodRun from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline; don’t sulk under his loving correction. It’s the child he loves that God corrects; a father’s delight is behind all this.
