Seasons

A variety of Pumpkins

Who doesn’t love Fall? The weather, the beautiful bursts of color, and the anticipation of upcoming celebrations make it a special season indeed!

Beautiful Fall Color

Many times we go through seasons in life where it seems that everything that can go wrong, is going wrong. You know what I’m talking about, right? In Ecclesiastes, we read that there is a time for everything:

ECCLESIASTES 3

A Time for Everything

1) There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: 2)a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, 3)a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, 4)a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, 5)a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, 6)a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, 7)a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, 8)a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

Today I heard a new song and as I contemplated the lyrics I began to think about one particular part of the song that simply says “seasons come, and seasons go, but there’s one thing I know for sure, YOU ain’t going anywhere”.

Did you know that God never leaves us? Just think about it. He never leaves.

Never.

Ever.

We are the ones that leave. We get distracted. We get busy. We get hurt. Sometimes we get angry, doubtful and confused. We are the ones who grow distant from Him. There are times when God seems so far away; times when we want desperately to hear His voice and it feels like He left us for sure, but He is still there.

I found this link to 25 scripture references about this very thing! Check it out: https://www.biblestudytools.com/topical-verses/i-will-never-leave-you-nor-forsake-you/

If you are feeling alone today, I encourage you to read every single verse that declares “I will never leave you, nor forsake you”.

Look for Him in the stillness of the sunset.

He’s there in the detail of everything around us. All we have to do is slow down and look around us. Even in the midst of all the political turmoil, God is there! My prayer today is that you will see Him and know that He is there!
