I planted the summer garden with my daddy today. We had fun but it was tough work! As we finished I looked around to see all we had acomplished. Other than a few tomato plants and hills of dirt, it looked the same as when we arrived earlier that morning. Nothing had changed. How is that even possible? We worked so hard all day. We had planted so many seeds! I saw with my own eyes, placed them in the ground with my own two hands. The Lord reminded me this is how life looks right now. I’m praying and believing and begging God to change some precious people in my life. It doesn’t look like things are changing. It doesn’t seem like it’s working. I don’t see evidence of hearts turning to God. But…. I have planted seeds. I am believing that one day soon I will see the fruits of my labor. All the tears, all the times I have and am still crying out to God. The testimonies I have shared. One day soon the seeds will begin to grow, they will bear fruit and even seed of their own! That’s a promise from God himself! Did you know there are over 250 verses in the Bible that mention seed? I just love how God reminds us He loves us and He has not forgotten! I enjoyed today with my earthly Father and my Heavenly Father! There’s nothing quite like a day in the garden with Daddy!
- Jeremiah 1:12 (NASB)Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it.”
